Greetings Rich Township High School District 227 residents,

As proud graduate of Rich Central High School and lifetime resident of Matteson, I am elated to announce my candidacy for the Rich Township High School District 227 Board of Education.

I am determined now more than ever to lead the charge in advocating for our students and restoring pride in our education system. As a proud graduate of the district, education administrator, and an education policy advocate, it would be an honor to continue to serve my community as a school board member.

If elected, I will continue to facilitate meaningful conversations and collaborative efforts with students, parents, staff members, elected officials, and other stakeholders to ensure our students are receiving the best educational experience possible.

I encourage you to visit my "The Candidate" page to learn more about my background and the passion I have for our children and communities.

It is my hope that you will join me in "Empowering Our Students and Communities Through Education" by supporting my candidacy on

April 1, 2025.

ENDORSEMENTS

"Marla has dedicated her young adult life to inspiring and encouraging her peers as well as others to excel to his or her greatest potential with boundaries, standards, and most importantly integrity. Marla will make an excellent member of District 227 School Board. I know she will bring those same qualities, expectations, and dignity to the district, and work diligently with dedication, commitment, and integrity for all community stakeholders."

                                                                                 Matteson Resident, Educator
"As a lifelong Park Forest resident and Rich East alum (2010), I’ve seen many changes in our community—some for the better, and others, like the decision to close Rich East, deeply disappointing. Marla has been a steadfast advocate for our district, fighting for accountability and ensuring that our community sees real results from its investments. Her dedication, experience, and commitment to a better future make her the advocate District 227 needs. I’m proud to stand behind Marla and her vision for a stronger, more equitable future for this district."
